I would like to get an instrument Celtic / irish folk. Ideas?
Alright, I hear a lot of folk Celtic / Irish, and the used Instruments fascinate me. I want to learn it, but I'm not quite sure what they use. The time is not an object, and is not difficult because I always like a Challenge. I studied drums for 5 years, I have no shortage of each of the percussion instruments to learn. I also wanted to stray away from bagpipes. Any other Intruments used, or a list of the instruments, how to craft / to them, and tips for the use / maintenance. Thanks in advance
The violin, banjo, uilleann Pipes and accordion are the typical instruments. The bodhran is a percussion instrument, so you may not want to go that way. And the Uilleann pipes are effectively a bagpipe (But with a difference). The violin would be the stand for me as it really is, what is that traditional music is the feeling that - does the good old time feel. The accordion would be a good choice to be solo, if you think you are less likely to play with other musicians. It is a good solo instrument.
